KUHN BALING TEST – Can film binding be cheaper than net binding?
Can film binding really be cheaper than net binding? We compared the costs of conventional binding and wrapping and that of the unique KUHN solutions. You will be amazed by the outcomes!
Mid 2021 two sets of bales were produced by a KUHN FBP 3135 baler-wrapper combination. One set was bound with net and then wrapped with 6 layers of film. The other set of bales was bound with film and then 3D-wrapped with 5 layers of film. The Eurofins Agro laboratory took samples of the bales and analysed the feed value and preservation after 6 weeks of storage.
Now we had a look at the cost-side of the comparison. A film bound bale is known to be more expensive than a bale bound with net. But not with a baler-wrapper combination from KUHN!
