K-CONCEPT: Self-propelled hedge and grass cutter!

As part of its LANDSCAPE PRO programme, KUHN continues to develop innovative products and services dedicated to professionals specialising in landscape maintenance and roadside vegetation management. To provide its customers with an ever-wider range of solutions, KUHN is expanding its range of hedge and grass cutters with a self-propelled hedge and grass -cutting machine: K-CONCEPT.

Up to 8 m horizontal reach!

The K-CONCEPT self-propelled hedge and grass cutter has been engineered to accommodate two boom configurations, offering working reaches of 7.10 m or 8.00 m. The machine can be operated up to 30° forwards and 80° backwards enabling efficient vegetation management. Equipped with the MOTION-HEAD 180 head rotator, the cutting head can be rotated through 180°, allowing mowing operations in both forward and reverse directions. The K-CONCEPT can be fitted with either a 1.20 m or 1.60 m flail head, providing flexibility to suit a wide range of applications.

The rotor is powered by KUHN’s patented MECADRIVE gear-drive system, ensuring reliable power transmission, durability, and high performance. Combining productivity, manoeuvrability, and operational flexibility, the K-CONCEPT is an ideal solution for agricultural contractors and local authorities seeking efficient roadside and landscape maintenance equipment.

Optimal visibility for unparalleled working comfort

The K-CONCEPT operator cab has been designed to deliver exceptional user comfort throughout the working day. The cab features an advanced suspension system, the ability to rotate 37° to the right for improved visibility, and with its 360° glazed design, the panoramic glass roof ensures a clear line of sight when working at height.

Maximum traction, manoeuvrability, and efficiency in a compact machine

The K-CONCEPT’s permanent four-wheel drive system, combined with an electric differential lock, ensures optimum grip on challenging terrain and difficult slopes.

Thanks to its short wheelbase and four-wheel steering, the machine offers outstanding manoeuvrability. Two driving modes are available, allowing travel speeds of up to 12 km/h when working and up to 40 km/h on the road. Power is provided by a 4-cylinder engine delivering a power output of 143 hp / 105 kW. Efficiency is further enhanced by a load-sensing (LS) variable-displacement hydraulic pump, which supplies power to the main boom functions while optimising energy consumption and hydraulic performance.

Intuitive controls and automated driving features

The new INTUITIV’ control system, combined with the proportional hydraulic valves, provides fast, smooth and precise control of the boom. To enhance productivity, the K-CONCEPT incorporates driver-assistance functions such as automatic boom retraction, automatic cutting head suspension and damped float. The operator benefits from continuous control of the main boom and the implement angle using the CCI 60 colour touchscreen terminal. Movement speeds can be adjusted to suit the working environment and application.

Front hitch versatility

The K-CONCEPT offers exceptional versatility through a wide range of front attachment interfaces, enabling seamless integration between the side-mounted boom and front-mounted implements. Available options include a DIN mounting plate, a 3-point linkage with PTO, and a hydraulic power circuit, allowing the machine to be configured for a variety of maintenance and vegetation management tasks.

To further expand its capabilities, the K-CONCEPT can also be equipped with five front hydraulic control valves, providing the hydraulic power and flexibility required to operate a broad range of attachments efficiently.
