FIMA 2026: KUHN technologies recognized for their innovation
At the 44th edition of the International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (FIMA), two new KUHN technologies were recognized in the Technical Innovations Competition. The aim of this competition is to reward products developed by companies that invest in R&D&I, selecting products that stand out for their technological contribution and innovation, considering market needs.

The new OPTISEED metering unit with cassettes, coupled with a double pressurized hopper, provides a large application range that can reach 500 kg/ha at 15 kph! Each compartment is equipped with two independent metering units. The two separately dosed products can then be mixed (single shot) or delivered separately (double shot). An agitator facilitates the flow of difficult seeds.
How do you select the right cassette? Enter the variety, the desired application rate and the working speed, and the seed drill terminal will do the rest! Changing the cassette is quick and easy. It requires no tools.

OPTIPOINT PRO: No more under- or over-dosing on headlands!
During fertilisation jobs, outlet opening and closing at headlands depends on the type of fertiliser, the working width, and the type of spreading disc. With some « fertiliser/working width » combinations, metering outlets close while the operator is already turning at the headland. This results in underdosing on the inside of the bend and overdosing on the outside.
The new OPTIPOINT PRO technology * adjusts the spread pattern when turning at headlands by increasing the working width towards the middle of the plot. The outlets are closed sooner, at the beginning of the headland turn. The spread fan does not pivot which means the right application rate is delivered all the way up to the headland.
CORNER CONTROL: output controlled even in corners!
In fertilisation, field corners represent difficult areas to spread for a centrifugal fertiliser spreader. Hence under-dosing is frequent in these areas, causing yield losses.
The CORNER CONTROL technology* provides an effective solution to this problem. Thanks to independent opening of the left and right outlets, the system activates the outlet earlier on the edge of the field. This allows fertiliser to reach the corner of the plot more easily, ensuring a consistent dose and optimised yield across the entire field, including in areas that are usually poorly supplied. A real advantage that allows you to combine " yield-oriented" and "environment-oriented" edge spreading!
