Robustness and stability designed for intensive use

The GA 6930, GA 7530, GA 8030 and GA 8830 twin rotor rakes are side delivery machines. Grass is raked across a width of 6.30 m to 8.80 m. They are ideal for intensive operations thanks to their MASTERDRIVE GIII gearbox

GA 6930, GA 7530, GA 8030 and GA 8830 semi-mounted rakes stand out due to their robustness and stability at work as well as in transport. With working widths from 6.30 to 8.80 m and MASTERDRIVE GIII rotor drive, these four rakes are made for working in difficult conditions.
With these side delivery rakes, you can control the volume of crop in the swath: rake individual swaths or combine two passes to form one swath. You can also adjust the working width to produce the best swath size possible. Result: output per hectare from the following baling and harvesting equipment is optimised. With these models, either one or two separate swaths can also be delivered. You will appreciate this versatility when turning two swaths simultaneously for quicker drying and for more efficient raking at night.

MASTERDRIVE GIII gearbox on GA 1030 series

MASTERDRIVE GIII gearbox: reliable and wear-resistant

Agricultural machines have to withstand increasing amounts of pressure and larger working areas today. The reliability and longevity of machines is key to meeting the demands of farmers and satisfying their output needs. MASTERDRIVE GIII gearboxes are fully enclosed. Result: total protection of drive parts that are less subject to wear. Their design ensures exceptional reliability and longevity, even under intensive use.
The four rakes are equipped with equipped with the MASTERDRIVE rotor which is well known for its reliable design and exceptional longevity, even when used intensively.
It includes a double reduction gearbox system with a bevel gear and a cylindrical gear. Bevel reduction tolerances are tightly controlled making the system extremely reliable and robust, even in difficult conditions.
Gearbox wear is greatly reduced and no maintenance is required. The double reduction gearbox system makes it possible to include larger cylindrical gears with more teeth for better power transmission.

Robust attachments

The MASTERDRIVE GIII gearbox has been designed to cope with ever increasing stress on the drive chain mainly due to:
  • Increasing working widths and rotor diameters.
  • Raking difficult crops such as silage, haylage, straw and hay.
  • Important components have been strengthened to make the rotors lighter yet more robust:
  • Large section central shaft.
  • Large size cam combined with a larger diameter roller to reduce rotational speed and pressure on the cam track.
  • 45 mm pivoting shaft with forged, welded crank pin (no spring pins) and a significant lever arm: shaft robustness and low pressure on the roller
  • Aluminium bearings to limit weight.
  • Bearing attached to the housing using 2 bolts: fast removal in case of an accident.
  • Exclusive link per steel internal thread between the pivoting shaft and the arm for excellent long lasting hold

Optimum swath formation with double-curved tine arms

The homogeneous quality and the volume of swaths are necessary for faster drying and easy pick-up by balers.
The tine arms on GA rakes are in a hyper-tangential position. This means that they reach a 90° angle very late. With the tines' sharp-angled cam, tine clearance is quick, later and requires little rotational effort to produce regular, fluffy and straight swaths. Raking is of high quality even at fast speeds because the forage is not pushed past the swath.
The advantages of double-curved arms:
  • They reduce the distance between tine passes. Forage loss is reduced, even at higher speeds.
  • The main weight is at the centre of the tine arm. This increases service life as it is not subject to pressure during rotation and the guide rollers are less subjected to stress.

Protecting plant stubble

Perfect rotor adaption to the variations in the field is just as important as reduced ground pressure when it comes to protecting the ground and plant stubble.
GA 8030 side delivery rakes are fully equipped to meet these requirements:
  • The rotors are suspended at the junction of a pivot point and are independent from the main frame so they can pivot in every direction. 3D pendulum-type rotors follow uneven ground with precision, and to perfection. Up and downward movements have an impressive range from around +25 cm to -30 cm. Result: impeccable performance with the guarantee of clean forage and healthy stubble.
  • Each rotor is equipped with four wheels in tandem positioned extremely close to the rotor for optimised contour following on uneven terrian.

Pass over the swaths without damaging them

Benefit from significant ground clearance on GA 6930 and GA 7530 rakes when switching to the headland turn position. Swaths are no longer pulled apart thanks to the minimum 43 cm ground clearance in 1 swath position and 56 cm in 2-swath position. The GA 8030 features a 51 cm clearance in 1 swath position and 75 cm in 2-swath position thanks to the STABILIFT system. The GA 8830 benefits for its part of a 45 cm clearance in 1-swath position and 57 cm in two-swath position. The rotor attachment point is optimised to lower the rotor rear first in order to preserve the grass stubble.

STABILIFT: mechanical and hydraulic rotor locking in transport mode

STABILIFT: transport safety

The 3D rotor suspensions are equipped with an integrated hydraulic cylinder which locks rotor movements automatically when it is raised from the ground.
Main advantages of the STABILIFT system:
  • Sward protection as the tines don't scrape the ground when the rotors are lowered.
  • More stability due to the machine's lower centre of gravity.
  • Higher ground clearance for improved swath protection.
  • Quicker rotor lift.

STABIDRIVE: stability on bends

A small detail that makes a big difference to safety on the road. The axis of rotation of the coupling point between the tractor's lower link and the rake is not vertical, but slightly inclined. This increases pressure on the drawbar and the rear inner wheel. STABIDRIVE improves machine stability on the road, on bends and on slopes.

GA 6930, GA 7530 and GA 8830: customisable machines

Customise your machine with optional equipment tailored to your farm's needs:
  • You can deliver your forage on 1 or 2 swath as required (2 swath delivery as optional equipment on GA 6930).
  • Hydraulically adjust their widths with the swath curtain to meet the requirements of the silage harvesters or balers that will follow.
  • Enjoy the individual hydraulic adjustment of the rotor height.
  • Enjoy individual lift of the front and rear rotors
  • Adopt the KGA 03L case to monitor these functions.
  • The rear swath curtain can be hydraulically adjusted to obtain a regular, well-calibrated swath.
  • A second swath curtain can also be installed on the front rotor to work in two swath mode.
  • Reduce ground compaction with wide wheels.
  • The choice of the bogie axle with six wheels closest to the tines on the rear rotor ensures optimal ground following.
Simple and practical to use, it is perfectly suited to the needs of medium and large farms. No need to choose when purchasing: with this machine, work in one or two swath according to your needs!
