Tedders GF 15003 T - 17003 T

Shape of the GF 15003 T tedder

50% less soil scraping

With their respective 14 and 16 small diameter rotors, the GF 15003 T and GF 17003 T models achieve high work outputs. They follow the ground like a 4-rotor tedder thanks to the GSC (Ground Save Control) system, allowing soil scraping to be reduced by 50%!

Find a distributor near you

The GF 15003 T and GF 17003 T models with their respective 14 and 16 rotors both achieve high work outputs. With the GF 17003 T you can achieve up to 15 ha/hr. Both models combine high output with optimum tedding quality thanks to the excellent ground following of the GSC (Ground Save Control) system. This reduces soil scraping by 50%. This means that less impurities are introduced into the tedded grass and drying time is improved, thus preserving all the nutrients of the forage. All the grass dries evenly on the plot. And you can take advantage of the best weather windows at the optimal harvest stage. The best guarantee for harvesting quality forage!

Your benefits

Forage quality

The two tedders GF 15003 T and GF 17003 T provide excellent work quality.

50% less soil scraping

Like their smaller counterparts, the GF 15003 T and GF 17003 T tedders follow the unevenness of the land. For example, the GF 17003 T behaves like an eight-rotor tedder or four four-rotor tedders
This excellent ground following is primarily due to the exclusive GSC (Ground Save Control) system. An oblong hole in the hitch allows the beam where the rotors are attached to oscillate independently of the chassis. The rotors are guided by the unevenness of the terrain and not by the carrying chassis.
Some exceptional features:
  • The exclusive GSC (Ground Save Control) system allows the rotor train to oscillate independently of the carrying chassis.
  • When working, the weight of the chassis rests on the large transport wheels.
  • The small diameter rotors adapt individually to the ground profile and the carrying chassis, ensuring efficient turning over and fast drying of the forage.
  • The wheels, which are located as close as possible to the tines, limit impurities being introduced into the windrows and ensures a long service life for the tines.

The new OPTITEDD rotor for a perfect forage

The new OPTITEDD rotor pushes the limits in terms of the resistance and service life of the working parts. The design of the rotor, the arms and the tines means increased robustness so that the machine can perform even in the most extreme conditions (heavy forage, stony ground, etc.).

Small rotors, impressive results: 33% faster drying time

The experts are convinced and those who have used them can no longer go without them. The many advantages of small rotors are essential for those who want to produce top quality forage:
  • Work with a large pitch angle while picking up the entire forage.
  • Fast and even drying.
  • Complete turning over of the forage.
  • Unequalled transversal distribution.
  • Outstanding adaptation to the ground.
The table below shows the impact of different tedding angles on tedding efficiency.
A large angle considerably reduces drying time.

Full pickup with asymmetric tines

The asymmetrical length of the tines, with a longer outer tine, offers certain benefits for quality tedding. Compared to a symmetrical design, the outer tine engages the forage earlier. This ensures that the forage is completely picked up, even at the edges of the field, but also between the rotors, with better tine coverage in this sensitive area. An earlier pickup of the forage means that the actual working width of each rotor, and thus of the machine, is greater.

Quick and easy maneuvering

With the HLC system on the GF 17003 T tedder, cross ditches and maneuver without problem

Crossing ditches and maneuvering on headlands with ease

The Headland Lift Control (HLC) system makes your life easier. The rotors can be lifted off the ground simply by operating the hydraulic control valve, allowing the machine to cross a ditch between two neighboring fields in seconds or turn around at the headland. The large clearance between the rotors prevents forage buildup when turning over large swaths. Also use this rotor lift feature for headland maneuvering. All rotors lift simultaneously to facilitate headland turns. The high clearance avoids turning the forage a second time and thus preserves the quality of the forage.

Every road becomes a highway

No need to expand your storage building. Thanks to its extreme compactness, the 17 m GF 17003 T will not take up more space than some 10 m tedders on the market!
Absolute comfort on the road:
  • Width and height not exceeding that of the tractor.
  • Easy access to the plots thanks to the short length, the position of the undercarriage and the large clearance of the rotors.
Thanks to the specific transport wheels (according to the current road regulations), roads in poor condition and long distances are no longer a problem:
  • The rotors are not exposed to shocks during transport.
  • Perfect distribution of the loads.
  • Excellent handling and safety, even at high speeds.

Brilliant folding kinematics

Unfolding or folding operations are very simple and fast thanks to the control box. Downtime related to plot changes is reduced to a minimum, for maximum daily output.
The Tedder 15003 T can easily be folded up using the control box.

Simple maintenance and adjustments

The pitch angle is centrally adjusted

The height of the tines in relation to the stubble is easily adjusted in the center of the machine, similar to a top link on a mounted machine.
To easily change the pitch angle at the wheels, simply partially raise the rotors.

The DIGIDRIVE coupling and robust gearboxes: the revolution

When KUHN invented this drive design, tedding entered a new era.
From that moment on, it became possible to drive a very large number of rotors, fold them with an unequalled compactness and without any maintenance. A real revolution!
Guidance is provided by large double-row angular contact ball bearings. Sealing is reinforced to prevent any leakage of lubricant and any introduction of impurities. It is firmly attached to the rectangular structure by means of spacers with long through screws. Thanks to these gearboxes, lubrication on the machine is limited to a few pivot points.
Maximize time spent in the field and minimize maintenance time!

Since the introduction of the DIGIDRIVE finger coupling, more than one million rotors have been used around the world for forage tedding with an outstanding level of reliability. The DIGIDRIVE coupling is made of case-hardened steel and requires no maintenance.

Deflector plates for clean wheels

Tedding young, sugar-rich or long, late forages can be tricky if the strands wrap around the wheel columns. This inevitably leads to downtime while the problem is being resolved.
Take advantage of the deflector plate equipment to prevent the forage from wrapping around the wheel columns.
The wheels of the tedder GF 17003 T are equipped with deflector plates.

Smart design

Both sections are held in position by straps to reduce stress on the chassis and rotor structure.
Thanks to the attachment at the ends of the rotors, both sections remain perfectly stable, without any oscillation. The straps also act as safety devices, replacing the traditional metal guards, which are often heavy and constraining during folding maneuvers. The two straps automatically roll up into the carrying position like a seat belt in a car.
The two sections of the tedder GF 17003 T are held in place by straps intended to reduce stress on the chassis and the structure of the rotors.
