The agronomical advantages of stubble cultivation
Investing in a DISCOLANDER cover-crop disc harrow is giving yourself the best chance of managing this essential tillage operation successfully:
- Stubble cultivations and mechanical weeding: straw decomposition is accelerated when there is contact between the soil, air and humidity. Good weed emergence is ensured when the seed is positioned near the surface, and humidity is retained in the soil (surface mulch prevents evaporation).
- Soil preparation before seeding: a working depth of up to 15 cm makes it possible to carry out deep cultivation for min-till methods.
- Mechanical destruction of plant cover: high under-frame clearance and 600 mm discs, as standard, make the DISCOLANDER exceptionally good at working in and destroying large volumes of plant residues.
- Manure burial: excellent mixing for uniform burial of manure and slurry.
- Turning grasslands with dense root systems: the machine can be adapted to the most extreme conditions by adjusting the disc gangs.
- Cutting and burying maize grain.
