Shredding between rows in orchards is the key to accelerating the decomposition and transformation of organic matter into humus, but also makes it possible to control the spread of certain pests, diseases and weeds. Shredding preserves the health of plantations by increasing the contact surface between organic matter and micro-organisms: pests then have neither time nor room to develop in pruning wood. The ensuing transformation into humus leads to an increase in the nutrients available to nourish crops and fertilise the soils, an improvement in soil structure and stability, and a stimulation of biological activity. Shredding helps to control the spread of weeds by preventing their dispersal when it is carried out before seed emergence, so it can therefore reduce the use of herbicides. It also effectively limits evapotranspiration and protects the soil surface from solar radiation by optimising its coverage by the shredded material. Water resources are therefore preserved and remain available for plantations during drier periods.

Your benefits

Choose a shredder adapted to your orchards

Choose the shredder adapted to your row spacings with the BVR 1000 series range

Choose the right model in the BV and BVR 1000 series ranges

With a choice of four models in the BV 1000 series range, and four in the BVR 1000 series range, you will find the shredder adapted your row spacings. All models offer a 45 cm hydraulic offset to the right, allowing working closest to the row.

Extra versatility with the BVR 1000 series range!

Highly versatile in its use, this shredder is characterised by a linkage with hydraulic offset (450 mm) for use in the front or rear mounted position. Fitted with a low casing, it easily glides underneath low-lying branches of plantations without damaging them. Robustness is ensured through a double-skinned box-section structure. Large swaths of pruning wood easily enter the casing owing to the very large casing opening of up to 38 cm!

Shredders adapted to arboricultural operations and equipment

These shredders are perfectly adapted to tractors of 150 hp. They can be offset and allow shredding grass in row spacings and wood prunings up to 12 cm of diameter. The low casing position enable passing between plantations without damaging them. The casing opening can reach up to 38 cm for best adaptation to your swath. Wood prunings are not dragged along the row spacing: they are collected and shredded finely to optimise its decomposition and return the organic matter to the soil. With this shredder, you benefit from excellent shredding quality of vine shoots, small scrub, orchard wood pruning and spacing between rows.

A more powerful shredder for woody residues

The height adjustment is made by the roller with removable ends which provides support over the whole working width. With a rotor of 457 mm diameter, heavy hammer knives of 2.2 kg fitted on more aggressive holders and 3 counter blades as standard, the shredding quality obtained ensures fast decomposition of even the most woody residues.
The rotor and tools of the BVR 1000 series shredders allow it to work in the most woody residues

Easy and fast maintenance
