Specialists with their size, shape and design!"

KUHN EL 62, 82 and 92 power tillers, with working widths of 1.20 m to 2.30 m, pass between rows in vineyards and orchards perfectly. Their robust design and helical blade profile ensures efficient inter-row tillage.

All of KUHN's vineyard and orchard power tillers have a low, compact design, and narrow overall-/working-width ratio for working in tight rows. They also have a side offset feature which means they can be hitched to different-sized tractors and operate right up to the cultivation. They are suited to different jobs: mechanical weeding, shredding, mixing residues into the soil, seedbed preparation, etc. These sturdy machines have lower maintenance costs.

Your benefits

Multipurpose tools for multiple uses

Plant residues mixed in between vines with a KUHN EL power tiller

Improve your soil, shred and mix in plant debris"

KUHN's power tillers loosen the topsoil. Their helical blades shred and mix in crop residues efficiently. They make easy work of shredding prunings, mixing mulch into the soil, and destroying and burying permanent cover. All of these cropping operations enhance the soil's fertility and improve surface water absorption and retention.

Don't give weeds a chance!

During the growing season, weeds compete with vines and fruit trees for nutrients and water. Spring or summer tillage with an EL power tiller is an ecological alternative to chemical weeding. Soils are preserved while weeds are destroyed.

A rear hood adapted to any conditions!

The rear hood on EL 62, 82 and 92 power tillers is spring mounted. This design provides excellent ground contour following. It also protects the tool if it hits an obstacle and keeps ground pressure constant.
The position of the hood can be adjusted to adapt the tool to working conditions. With shallow or deep work, dry or humid soil, and different volumes of residues, you obtain great results. Positioning the rear hood closer to the rotor contributes to finer soil crumbling which is ideal for sandy and silty soils. In wet conditions with residues or in clayey soils, opening the hood wider will prevent clogging for more efficient operations.

The KUHN asset: robustness and relibility

Very rigid large section frame that equips KUHN EL power tillers

Particularly robust large section frame

EL 62, 82 and 92 power tillers feature a large one-piece rear hood and frame. This design makes them highly rigid and resistant to shocks and wear. The front tube is integrated into the housing which makes the tool stronger and protects the equipment. In addition, particular attention has been paid to the coupling brackets which are robust in order to absorb vibrations and shocks at work. All of these great features make KUHN power tillers extremely hard-wearing with lower maintenance costs.

Rotor drive made to last

The large-diameter rotor is driven by case-hardened steel gearwheels which are located in the thick-walled side gearbox. They are oil-bath lubricated and mounted on tapered roller bearings for maximum longevity. The lower bearing is equipped with "a rice-field-type" two-piece metallic-face seal which protects the rotor from water, soil, dust, and any other possible contamination. The automatic tensioning chain is oversized for a long service life.

High-performance central gearbox and well protected

On EL 62, 82 and 92 power tiller models, the central gearbox is set back to reduce PTO angles. The whole drive line is protected from excessive loads by a friction slip clutch. For optimum adaptation to different working conditions, the EL 92 model is equipped with a Duplex gearbox with interchangeable gearwheels where up to 4 rotor speeds are possible. Two speeds come as standard by simply inverting the gearwheels. A second set of gearwheels is available as an option.

Output quality unmatched

Gradual side offset facilitated by the three tiller frame yokes

Gradual side offset

The power tiller is able to eliminate wheel tracks on the right hand side, when it is narrower than the tractor, thanks to the offset feature on the hitch system. To offset the tool, just slide the three yokes on the tiller frame across. The gearbox moves with the linkage and remains in line with the PTO. This concept makes it possible to work right up to the crop and adapt the machine to different tractor sizes.

C-blades for optimum tillage

KUHN power tillers are equipped with six helical C-blades per flange, as standard, for efficient clod crumbling while limiting power consumption. The helical shape of KUHN blades effectively shreds and mixes in plant residues and penetrates any soil type with ease. For shallower work, L-blades are also available for the EL 92 model.
