The new MERGE MAXX 902 model boasts multiple improvements. In addition to reinforced joints, the main changes made to this belt merger in comparison to its predecessor the MERGE MAXX 900 are:
- New pick-up suspension for better balance, improved ground hugging at high speeds and reduced skid shoe wear.
- New higher capacity conveyor.
- Possibility of adding a windrow curtain for precise windrow calibration, especially when working with narrow pick-ups.
- Forage transfer and pick-up system choice:
a) Windguard with tines (existing system).
b) New Windguard with casing and low roller for improved operations in low density forage, light but abundant forage or when picking up grain corn straw for example.
It is widely accepted that belt merging technology has a great many advantages: gentle working with fragile crops, high output capacity, cleaner forage (more appetizing and improved forage conservation), stone-free windrows, and less wear on pick-ups, chopper cutting components and loaders.
