New Strip-Till « STRIGER » 2013

The STRIGER is now equipped with new features to suit farmers’ requirements in the best possible way.

________________

The STRIGER is perfectly adapted to the Strip Till technique. It’s a tool that was developed by farmers, for farmers, and it now has new optional features. It is also equipped with Non Stop Hydraulic safety as standard.

In order to offer tools that are adapted to the agricultural world’s new economical and agronomical demands, KUHN has improved its STRIGER range, on 3 to 6 m frames having 4 to 12 rows, with different configurations.

Non Stop Hydraulic safety: pressure adjustment for optimum results

The STRIGER is now equipped with Non Stop Hydraulic safety as standard. This feature regulates the tip pressure between 550 and 730 kg. In this way, the working angle of the tip is constant and ensures optimum expansion and preparation of the seeding line.

Options to increase the tool’s versatility
    1. Wavy Opening Disc – 460 mm: For meadows – Catch crop
In order to improve soil preparation after fasciate-rooted crops, KUHN recommends using the optional wavy opening disc. It works the line better through intensive root cutting. This is ideal for maize preparation
    noteably, after a catch crop.

    2. Notched Double Deflector Discs – 460 mm : For meadows – Catch crop
These discs define the line better in dry conditions, and after a fasciate-rooted crop. They are more aggressive, great for soil expansion and mixing along the seeding line.

    3. Wide Rubber-tyred Tamping Wheel:
Water can be short when planting rape, and when seeding late spring crops. The wide rubber-tyred wheel presses the soil down hard to preserve the water along the row. It also creates a finer, well tamped
    surface, ideal for small seeds.

    4. Fine Tip:
When working with close spacings, we recommend working on a narrow strip. With the fine tip, you can work at depths of 15 to 25 cm, while keeping to a narrow width. This is beneficial for taproot type crops:
    Beetroot and Rape.
    5. 2 x 260 L Fertilization Kit
On the 3m STRIGERs, your machine can become independent with two 260 liter hoppers fixed to it. The 2 hoppers are equipped with a fluted metering system, so that you only have to set the opening of
metering units. This completes the solid fertilization offer with the Front Hopper 1500 or the MODULINER SOLO.
    6. Liquid Manure fertilization Kit:
To get the most out of livestock waste, the STRIGER ploughs your liquid manure into your future seeding line in one unique passage. The STRIGER is equipped with a universal distribution head holder, and the
tubes fix on behind the tine, making liquid manure fertilization possible.
The STRIGER, a technique appreciated by all European farmers:

The STRIGER is used in Germany for maize and beetroot production, in Italy for maize, and in England for rape; it is present all over Europe. By accompanying farmers and being open to an exchange of ideas, KUHN’s aim is to provide ever better service and good advice.

For all line crops, the STRIGER is perfectly suited to the Strip Till technique, by creating a clean, heated, pressed, and fertilized line. Take full advantage of the STRIGER technique to get the best profit from your crop, while maintaining your soil’s potential.

With the STRIGER, capitalize on the advantages
