Within the context of environmental protection, new regulations have been introduced for seeding with a pneumatic precision seed drill. During seeding, dust caused by the insecticide on coated seeds must be channeled and directed onto the ground to limit dust emissions. All pneumatic single-seed seed drills are concerned by this new regulation. It is therefore mandatory to use a dust containment system for all seeding involving seeds coated with insecticide.
These dust containment systems have been validated by the Julius-Kuhn Institute at Braunschweig, Germany.
Dust containment kits (ADS Kit) have been mounted as standard on Maxima 2 and Planter 3 seed drills since 1st July 2010. Machines in service can be retrofitted with these. |
