Put shredded grass to good use!

The SDS (Side Delivery System) range has been developed to shred grass in between rows of large-width vines and orchards and place it on the row. Available in 3 working widths, it has a unique delivery system to fit each plantation.

Shredding between rows in vineyards is the key to speeding upt the decomposition and conversion of organic matter into humus, but also helps controlling the spread of certain parasites, diseases and weeds. Shredding preserves the health of the plantations by increasing the contact area between matter and microorganisms: pests have neither the time nor the space to develop. The resulting humus transformation results in increased nutrients available to feed crops and fertilise soils, improved soil structure and stability, and stimulated biological activity. When shredding is done before seeding, it helps to control the spread of weeds. The mulch used as an alternative to weeding (weed smothering process) then reduces the consumption of plant care products in vineyards and orchards. Shredding is also an effective way to reduce evapotranspiration and protect the soil surface from solar radiation by optimising its cover with the shredded material. Water resources are preserved and remain available for plantations.

Your benefits

Enjoy a machine adapted to each plantation

Grass is delivered on the row with the SDS shredders

Benefit from a unique delivery system

Side delivery is provided by a single pitch or double pitch auger driven by a hydraulic motor
directly connected to the tractor outlet (patented system). The large diameter of the auger makes it possible to shred large amounts of vegetation without the risk of it jamming. The auger speed is adjustable to adapt to working conditions according to the quantity of grass and groundspeed. It is also removable to ensure the shredding of vine shoots or prunings.

Delivery on one side only for orchards

This is the ideal solution for large plantations such as orchards. The SDS with single side delivery lets you work back and forth between each row. All SDS with single side delivery have an offset attachment equipped with hydraulic side shift for delivering the mulched product closer to the plants.

Delivery on both sides for vineyards

The SDS with delivery on both sides, possible thanks to a double-step auger is perfectly suited to the space between rows of vines of 2.25 to 3 m. It allows you to work one-way by shredding and delivering the grass on the row in a single pass. In this version, the attachment of the machine is fixed and central.

Benefit from an optimised shredding casing

Shredding adapted to vineyards and orchards owing to the optimised casing of SDS shredders

Choose an optimised shredding casing

The shredding casing is equipped with two counter blades to best adapt to the work in vineyards and orchards. Combined with the heavy hammer knives fitted on the rotor, they reshred grass and prunings with great efficiency to avoid any clogging of the transfer auger. You will benefit from a homogeneous residue shredding.

Shredding vine shoots is possible

A slight adaptation is required to shred prunings with SDS shredders

If required, you can adapt your machine to shred prunings

The SDS shredder is perfectly suited to shredding grass. However, shredding of vine shoots and prunings is also possible by disassembling the auger. For this, the delivery system is easily removable thanks to only seven screws. After disassembly, the rear hood of the shredder will be closed to ensure a safe job.
