Shredding between rows in vineyards and orchards is the key to speeding up decomposition and conversion of organic matter into humus, but also helps to control the spread of pests, diseases and weeds. Shredding preserves plant health by increasing the contact surface between organic matter and microorganisms: pests have neither time nor space to develop in vine shoots or prunings.
The subsequent transformation into humus results in increased nutrients available to feed crops and fertilise soils, improved soil structure and stability and stimulation of biological activity.
When performed before seeding, shredding helps control weeds from spreading by avoiding their dispersal, thus reducing the use of herbicides.
It also effectively limits evapotranspiration and protects the soil surface from solar radiation by optimising its cover with shredded material. As a result, water resources are preserved and remain available for plants during drier periods.

Your benefits

The shredder suited to your vineyards and orchards

Choose the shredder adapted to your row spacings in the range of BV 100 series

Choose the right model in the range of BV 100 series shredders

With a choice of five models in the BV 100 series, you will find the rear shredder adapted to your row spacing.
The version with and offset possibility also allows you to work closest to the row. In this respect, the BV 160 shredder offers a mechanical offset of 35 cm to the right, compared to 45 cm on the other models of the series.

With the BVR 100 series, gain versatility!

In the BVR 100 series shredders, choose a fixed linkage for use in front-mounted position or a reversible linkage with hydraulic offset for use in front or rear position.
Maximum hydraulic offset to the right of 35 cm on the BVR 160, compared to 45 cm on the other models in the series.

Several options available to adapt your shredder

All standard shredding components (rotor, tools ...) are designed for intensive use.
Furthermore, numerous options are available on BV and/or BVR 100 series models to perfectly adapt these machines to your conditions.
Optional equipment allows adapting the shredder to the various conditions of work

Benefit from reliable shredders!

The BV 160 shredder is fully adapted to vineyards and orchards

Shredders adapted to vineyard and orchard operations

These shredders are ideally adapted to tractors up to 110 hp. Their offset possibility will enable you to shred grass between the rows as well as prunings up to 8 cm in diameter. With this shredder you benefit from excellent shredding quality of vine shoots, small-size scrub, prunings and spaces between rows of vines and trees.

They feature a low casing which allows moving between plantations without damaging them and a hood opening of up to 32 cm for best adaption to your swath. Prunings are not dragged in between the rows: they are collected and shredded finely for optimum decomposition and return of organic matter to the soil.

Maximum reliability for BV and BVR 100 series shredders

The height adjustment is ensured by a roller with removable ends. The latter rests on the ground over the entire working width.
The design of the hammer knives prevents marking of the rotor tube in the case of an impact and during reversing. Risks of vibrations, tube deformation or rotor imbalance are reduced.
With 1.2 kg hammer knives, 3 counter-blades as standard and a 423 mm rotor, you will obtain quality shredding for fast residue decomposition.
